Nashville, Tennessee, USA

November 10 - 15, 2022

This is a pay-as-you-go trip.
You will make your own reservations at the hotel where we will be staying.

Itinerary:

Thursday: Arrive in Nashville. Get a hotel in the Music Valley Drive area. Fiddler's Inn will be the cheapest, and very convenient to restaurants, bars with live music, and a bit of shopping (antique stores, and a Cat Lounge!)

Walk to the Opryland Hotel. The hotel is beautiful inside, and is free to walk around. Thursday night: Go downtown.

Friday: Drive to Radnor Lake in Nashville. The walk around the lake takes about an hour. May see Bald Eagles, Deer, turkey.

Then go to Franklin, TN to the Civil War sites of the Carnton House and the Carter House. See Franklin, TN, hopefully should be decorated for the Holidays.

Saturday: Nash-Trash tour (if available), and see the Parthenon in Centennial Park. Or do the Hop-On Hop Off tour. Lunch at the Farmer's Market, at Bicentennial Mall. Downtown again - Ryman Auditorium tour

Sunday: The Hermitage tour - Home of President Andrew Jackson.

Other activities we could do: Have your photo taken at the famous "Wings" mural. Need to do early in the day because there is always a line.

Cheekwood: A beautiful mansion and gardens. Lots to explore.

Greenways: Walk the pedestrian bridge. Bike rentals have been removed for now, but it's also a beautiful walk

Grand Ole Opry: About $100. There is also a Veteran's Day performance.

Ryman Auditorium performances

Tennessee State Museum (free)

Country Music Hall of Fame (I personally don't think it's worth the money, but if anyone wants to go, that's no problem. It's located downtown.

Bluebird cafe: They don't have anything on the calendar for now. Events may show up later.

Cooters: Walkable from the hotel, a Dukes of Hazzard fan's paradise! Free.

Midnight Jamboree: Saturday night, Free. Next to hotel.
